Good to Know

Platform restrictions outside any integration tool's control

FBA orders are not included

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) orders are fulfilled from Amazon's warehouses and do not route through EasyPost. This integration covers merchant-fulfilled (MFN/FBM) orders only.

Nventory does not generate shipping labels

Label creation is handled through EasyPost's API. Nventory syncs order and product data and pushes tracking back to Amazon.

Amazon Buy Shipping is not used

This integration routes shipping through EasyPost rather than Amazon's Buy Shipping service. Sellers who prefer Amazon Buy Shipping rates should use that workflow separately.

Things to Consider

Platform-specific details and how they affect this integration.

Challenge

Amazon requires sellers to maintain a Valid Tracking Rate above 95%. Late or missing tracking uploads can result in account suspension for merchant-fulfilled orders.

Nventory's Approach

Nventory pushes tracking numbers from EasyPost to Amazon as soon as shipments are created, helping maintain VTR compliance regardless of which carrier is used. The tracking carrier code is mapped correctly so Amazon recognizes it as valid.

Who Uses Amazon EasyPost Integration

Frequently Asked Questions

No. FBA orders are fulfilled by Amazon's warehouses and do not route through EasyPost. This integration covers merchant-fulfilled (MFN/FBM) orders only.

Nventory pushes tracking numbers with correct Amazon-recognized carrier codes as soon as shipments are created in EasyPost. This helps maintain VTR above 95% without using Amazon Buy Shipping.

Yes. You can use EasyPost through Nventory for orders where your negotiated rates are better, and Amazon Buy Shipping for others. The two workflows can coexist.

When EasyPost creates a shipment, Nventory maps the carrier to Amazon's recognized carrier code list (e.g., FEDEX, UPS, USPS) so tracking uploads are accepted and count toward your VTR metric.
